YEP, we're having a baby!

Since Rosie helped share the news, I just wanted to add a few things!

Each year since 2005, March 9th has come with sad memories for me since it’s the day my Dad passed away. This year and all the years to come, that day will forever hold much brighter memories, since it’s the day Albert and I found out we’re having a baby! I’d like to think it’s my Dad’s way of sending me a little message from heaven! We had been trying for quite some time and starting to feel like it would never happen, but ‘Someone’ had a much better plan!!!

Having the internet this time around has brought so much more to this whole pregnancy thing – some good, some bad!! Plus, I’m a little smarter anyway since I’m not 19.....I’m 25 (just kidding)! After 12 years, Hayden will no longer be an only child in our house and Albert will finally get to change some poopy diapers!! Fun to be had for all!

I have imported Hayden’s blog into this new one about us all so our family and friends (near & far) can follow our journey over the upcoming months! Hope it keeps you laughing and maybe even brings a tear or two!!

Winter Ball 2009

A late school day afternoon....

Just wanted to share this picture of Hayden playing with his buddies - this is the typical scene when we pull in the driveway from work each night. Lucky for him, there's no shortage of boys in the neighborhood....and no shortage of beautiful sunsets either!

The newest addition!!!

We added another member to our family last weekend! This is Jennie! We rescued her from a local shelter. She had come in as a stray and then someone adopted her, but returned her a few weeks later - they said she whined a lot. Well, apparently she needed a friend just as much as Rosie did - now we have 2 very happy pups! Rosie LOVES having a playmate - she's so pooped out she's lost the energy to chew anything! PHEW! They wrestle and play tug-of-war like they've known each other for ever!! Our furry family is complete!!

Post-game Celebration!

The boys were pretty happy since they'd already lost to the Panthers before. Now they have a chance to show their stuff next weekend and win the Championship!!!

The Bulldogs Are IN The Championship!!!

Hayden had a moment of fame at the very last play of their playoff game this weekend! There was about 1 minute left in the game with the Bulldogs ahead 6-0. It was 4th down so the Bulldogs decided to punt in order to drive the Panthers back into their own territory. As you'll see from the video, it appears as though things didn't work out, but there was a flag on the play and thanks to Hayden's punt, the Bulldogs are on their way to the Championship game next weekend!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Good job Hayden!! :)

Halloween Time!

Cute Critters!!

There always seems to be something going on around our house with the critters...inside and out.


Ellie is always posing for the camera......


Then she found a little play toy crawling on the screen....a calipider (as Hayden used to call them). She was a little upset that it was on the outside!

Later Hayden had me come to the backyard to see what was hanging out in his italian parsley "bush". The story is that he threw some seeds over the side of the deck months ago and, well, as you can see, that's all it took! One of the siblings of the "calipider" thought italian parsley made a good meal.


We didn't mind since he made a great picture!

Football Time is Here Again!!!

It's football season again and Hayden is a Bulldog once more. There are some new kids on the team and it's going to be a great season! They've already won 2 of their 3 games and are planning on winning the rest!!! Hayden is doing so great! He's a tough competitor and has come a long way since the first time he played less than 2 years ago! We're so proud of him!

Medina Lake!

A few weeks ago Uncle Ted & Aunt Amy took us out to their place at Medina Lake to go for a ride on their boat! It was such a fun time!!!

Rosie was pretty excited since she LOVES the water, but when she fell in and didn't know how to get out, she almost sunk Hayden and then decided she'd better stay on the boat for the rest of the day!


Hayden got to go tubing and had a BLAST!!! He held on so well! You couldn't wipe the smile off of his face!





Our night ended with a stop at the local hamburger joint. It was Karaoke night and Hayden took the stage with an OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE!! We caught the WHOLE thing on video....and then accidently deleted it! Darnit! But we did get this picture of Hayden and the host, plus we'll always have the memory - everyone there was tapping their feet and gave Hayden a huge round of applause! It was such a great way to end a wonderful day! We can't wait to go again!

Back to school party at the Rec Center!

Our neighborhood threw the kids a GREAT back-to-school party at the Rec Center. There was swimming with a movie, corndogs, drinks and desserts! The kids had a great time!!

Hayden's first day of school!

Although it's been a month since school started, here's Hayden on his first day! The little one we once knew is now a middle-school-er! It's hard to believe he's in 6th grade - moving around between classes, using his locker, changing for PE and doing GREAT! He's absolutely loving it!! :)

I noticed something going on at my feet while I was doing the dishes. I turned around and THIS is what I found! The crazy kitties just stayed there while I took a bunch of pictures! They're so nutty!

Our European Vacation!

Our summer vacation was to England and Ireland. It was such an amazing trip! We've narrowed down the thousands of pictures we took to this slide show, but it's still a lot, so sit back and ENJOY!

Welcome Home Hayden!

Hayden returned home yesterday after spending the last 2 months in California and was greeted by not only Rosie (who peed she was so excited to see him), but also a treasure hunt!! To his surprise, he FINALLY got a Playstation 3. It's one of those things that we kept putting off, but he has earned it for sure. He's done so well in school, sports and at home that we thought he deserved nothing less! He was really excited...and so were his friends!! :)
