Football Time is Here Again!!!

It's football season again and Hayden is a Bulldog once more. There are some new kids on the team and it's going to be a great season! They've already won 2 of their 3 games and are planning on winning the rest!!! Hayden is doing so great! He's a tough competitor and has come a long way since the first time he played less than 2 years ago! We're so proud of him!

GO HAYDEN!!!!!

Medina Lake!

A few weeks ago Uncle Ted & Aunt Amy took us out to their place at Medina Lake to go for a ride on their boat! It was such a fun time!!!

Rosie was pretty excited since she LOVES the water, but when she fell in and didn't know how to get out, she almost sunk Hayden and then decided she'd better stay on the boat for the rest of the day!

Hayden got to go tubing and had a BLAST!!! He held on so well! You couldn't wipe the smile off of his face!

Our night ended with a stop at the local hamburger joint. It was Karaoke night and Hayden took the stage with an OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE!! We caught the WHOLE thing on video....and then accidently deleted it! Darnit! But we did get this picture of Hayden and the host, plus we'll always have the memory - everyone there was tapping their feet and gave Hayden a huge round of applause! It was such a great way to end a wonderful day! We can't wait to go again!

Back to school party at the Rec Center!

Our neighborhood threw the kids a GREAT back-to-school party at the Rec Center. There was swimming with a movie, corndogs, drinks and desserts! The kids had a great time!!

Hayden's first day of school!

Although it's been a month since school started, here's Hayden on his first day! The little one we once knew is now a middle-school-er! It's hard to believe he's in 6th grade - moving around between classes, using his locker, changing for PE and doing GREAT! He's absolutely loving it!! :)

Some cuties!

Yes, that's Ellie's head smooshed underneath Rosie's. Rosie LOVES her baby!

Ellie is very nosey!

What a beautiful girl!

I noticed something going on at my feet while I was doing the dishes. I turned around and THIS is what I found! The crazy kitties just stayed there while I took a bunch of pictures! They're so nutty!

Hayden and Ellie hangin' out on the couch!

Our European Vacation!

Our summer vacation was to England and Ireland. It was such an amazing trip! We've narrowed down the thousands of pictures we took to this slide show, but it's still a lot, so sit back and ENJOY!

Welcome Home Hayden!

Hayden returned home yesterday after spending the last 2 months in California and was greeted by not only Rosie (who peed she was so excited to see him), but also a treasure hunt!! To his surprise, he FINALLY got a Playstation 3. It's one of those things that we kept putting off, but he has earned it for sure. He's done so well in school, sports and at home that we thought he deserved nothing less! He was really excited...and so were his friends!! :)

Lots of pictures!

It's been a while since we posted any pictures on here, so in order to catch up, here's a slide-show!

Hayden drives the swamp boat!

Claude, our Honey Island Swamp Tour Captain/Guide, was nice enough to let Hayden drive the boat a couple times during our tour. Despite the serious face Hayden had, he was having an absolute BLAST! Since Hayden was the only kid on the boat, he was a little spoiled! Little did Claude know, he couldn't have picked a more appropriate & appreciative kid to give this opportunity to! He told us about his daughter who is Hayden's age - and who also loves wildlife and wants to be a Vet just like Hayden! This was our favorite time in Louisiana!

Who needs the zoo??

This was soooooooo awesome! We were on a relatively flat boat with just a few rails on the side and this alligator is RIGHT THERE! It was a GREAT experience! One we'll never forget!

New Orleans!

A swimming clip!

Rosie absolutely LOVES the water now! She's even started sticking her head under water. She snorts a lot, but it doesn't seem to slow her down!

May 18 - Another trip to the river!

BULLDOGS! - Division 2 Champions!!

YEAH BULLDOGS!! Hayden's team won the Championship game yesterday by a landslide! It was such an exciting game...Hayden caught a long pass, making a touchdown! He and his team played such a great game!

Even Jenna came to cheer on her cousin!
Trophy time & a touching speech from Coach Josh.
Our little football pro!

Exploring Around The Neigborhood

We took a walk around the neighborhood yesterday and there was so much to see! Rosie spent the entire time (as usual) sniffing EVERYTHING she could find and then some. She makes this strange thumping sound when she finds something really interesting! Crazy dog!

Hayden "killing cactus" as he apparently does on a regular basis. He and his friends think this is so much fun.....weirdos!

Anyone need some wood cut?

In the background (still under construction) is Lady Bird Johnson High School - the school Hayden will be attending in only a few years.

The Little Cowboy's Fan!

I came across this picture of Hayden the other day and had to laugh.....little did he know that he was destined to be a Dallas Cowboy's fan! He was about 3 1/2 here - what a cutie!!

HOORAY for Hayden!!!

We have so many reasons to be proud of Hayden! He recently earned a 42/44 on his Math TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) test which puts him in the "Commended Performance Category" - the highest ranking!!! This coming from a kid who since 3rd grade thought he was "bad at math"! Proof that hard work pays off! Hayden has worked SOOOO hard this year in school, and especially in math. He now knows, without a doubt, that he can do ANYTHING he puts his mind to!

He's also doing GREAT in football. He's making touchdowns, running the ball and tackling like a pro! Another huge accomplishment since last year! He's quite the young man and we are so proud of him!

Happy 11th Birthday to Hayden!

Hayden's birthday started out with a win yesterday against the Titans.....12-0! Then it was off to the movies and fun with his buddies. Today the celebration continued with the neighborhood kids joining in and having ice cream cake and swimming at the Rec Center. Can't believe little Hayden is already so big! We're so proud of the incredible young man he has become!

Go Bulldogs!

Hayden did great at this game! He's making great tackles and running the ball like a pro!
